Creator Programme Terms

Canine Keepsakes is built with independent artists. Here's exactly how selling your designs works — including how you're paid, with a definition and a worked example.

Joining

You'll need an account, to be 18 or over, and to accept these terms. We review every design before sale and may accept or decline any submission at our discretion, guided by our Acceptable Content Policy.

Your work stays yours

You keep full ownership of your designs. By having a design published you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to print, display, market and sell it on Products for as long as it's live; that licence ends on removal, except for orders already placed. You confirm each design is your own original work, that you hold the rights to licence it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright or trade mark or break our Acceptable Content Policy — and you agree to cover us for claims if that's not true.

How you're paid — Net Profit defined

Your royalty is 10% of Net Profit on each item sold. Net Profit means: sale price − production cost − shipping − payment processing fees − transaction fees − discounts applied − refunds − chargebacks − applicable taxes.

Worked example: a £30 sale, less £10 production, £4 shipping, £1 payment/transaction fees, no discount and no tax, leaves £15 Net Profit — so your royalty is £1.50. (Illustrative; real costs vary by product and destination.)

Earnings start as pending and clear after 60 days — deliberately longer than our returns window, so an item that's later returned or refunded is never paid out by mistake. Cleared earnings are paid monthly by PayPal once your cleared balance reaches £50 (below that it rolls over). If an order is refunded, cancelled or charged back, its earnings are reversed — and if already paid, recovered from future payouts. You're responsible for any tax on your royalties; keep your PayPal details accurate.

Removing a design

Ask us any time and we'll stop selling it within a reasonable period. We may also remove one that breaks these terms, that attracts a credible infringement complaint, or when we retire a product. Orders placed before removal are still fulfilled and still earn your royalty.

Rights complaints — notice and takedown

A rights holder can email caninekeepsakes.admin@gmail.com with details; we may remove or disable a design while we investigate and let you know. If you believe removal was a mistake or that you hold the rights, send a counter-notice and we may restore it. Accounts with repeated valid complaints may be closed.

House rules

Designs and display names should fit the Canine Keepsakes spirit — dog-loving, warm and tasteful. If you used AI tools to help, tell us and confirm you have the rights to sell the result; we may decline work we can't verify. We may suspend or close an account for infringing content, fraud (such as fake orders) or serious/repeated breaches. If an account goes quiet for a long time and we can't reach you, we may unpublish designs to keep the shop current — any cleared balance owed remains yours on request. If we change these terms or close the programme, changes apply to future sales with reasonable notice, and we'll pay out balances due.
