Welcome to Canine Keepsakes. These terms cover how you use our website and buy from us. We've kept them in plain English — if anything's unclear, email us at caninekeepsakes.admin@gmail.com.
By using the Website and placing an order you accept these terms, so please read them first. We may update them from time to time; the version in force when you order is the one that applies.
You must be 18 or over (or have a parent or guardian's permission). Adding an item to your basket isn't an order — your order is placed when you pay at checkout, and a contract begins when we email your order confirmation. If we can't fulfil an order (for example something sells out, or there's an obvious pricing error), we'll tell you and refund anything you've paid.
Almost everything is made to order — your chosen design is printed specially for you. Colours can look slightly different on screen versus in your hands; small variations in print position, tone and finish are a normal part of print-on-demand, not faults; and natural materials such as wood, canvas and ceramic vary slightly piece to piece.
Prices are in pounds sterling and are those in force when you order. We're not currently VAT-registered, so there's no VAT added — the price you see is the price you pay. Payment is handled securely by PayPal; we never see or store your full card details.
Some Products can be personalised with Custom Artwork created from a photo of your dog. Those orders carry the extra terms on our Custom Artwork Terms page — the key one being that you approve a preview before we print, and once approved the print can't be undone.
See our Delivery, Returns & Refunds and Complaints pages. Your legal rights if goods are faulty are set by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and your right to cancel a standard online order is set by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — both explained in full on the Returns & Refunds page.
Keep your login details safe and don't share them; you're responsible for activity under your account and should tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or our Acceptable Content Policy.
The Canine Keepsakes name, logo, Website and designs belong to us or to the Creators who licence them to us. Buying a Product gives you the Product, not the right to reproduce or resell the design. Anything you upload stays yours; you grant us permission to use it to fulfil your order or run the creator programme, and you confirm it's yours to share and doesn't breach our Acceptable Content Policy.
We don't limit our responsibility where the law forbids it — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. Beyond that, we're responsible for foreseeable losses caused by our breach of these terms, but not for unforeseeable or business losses (our Products are for personal use). Our responsibility for any order won't exceed what you paid for it, except where the law doesn't allow such a limit.
We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including flood, fire, extreme weather, cyber attack, supplier failure, courier or postal strikes, and government restrictions. If such an event causes significant delay, we'll let you know, and you may cancel any part of your order not yet made for a refund.
When you use the Website or email us, you agree we may communicate with you electronically. Emails and messages sent through the Website count as "in writing" for the purposes of these terms.
You may only order for delivery to destinations we offer at checkout, and you agree not to order Products for onward supply to any place where that would be unlawful.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use your local courts and keep your home nation's consumer protections.
